Once again we're begin to plan for the annual RTP Christmas Tubas bash.  This year will be playing on Sunday November 26 from 2-4 pm at the RDU Airport main parking deck in the atrium near the tunnel to terminal A - same as last year.  The sound in the parking deck was great!  Please plan on being a part of it this year.  You can visit our Christmas Tubas page for more info!  We hope you'll be able to join us!

In the middle of our busy spring/summer schedule, we just had the joy of attending the Tubas in the Summer workshop at UNCG put on by Dennis Askew.  During the seminar our quartet had several coaching sessions with Demondrae Thurman who was incredibly helpful and fun to work with. What a thrill!  We were also privileged to perform as the featured tuba quartet at the seminar's outdoor concert at Latham park in Greensboro.  Our thanks to Dennis, Demondrae, and all the guest artists and staff that put together this incredible seminar.

Time sure files!  It's almost time for the annual RTP Christmas Tubas bash.  This year will be playing on Sunday November 27 from 2-4 pm at the RDU Airport main parking deck in the atrium near the tunnel to terminal B. We've had a particularly exciting 2005 with several new first time gigs including playing the national anthem at a Durham Bulls baseball game.  You can watch a home video of it here.  We kept busy in the middle of the year working on our first CD, Christmas Ornaments, which we recorded with our good fried, Greg Fishel.  And now we're gearing up for the every busy Christmas season (our favorite).

We look forward to meeting many of you and sharing our music at our various outings this coming season.  And we also hope the season finds you in good spirits and health.

It's that time of year again. Time to get ready for our annual Christmas Tubas bash. Our good friend George Cumpston has retired to Charlotte, and those of us in the Triangle Tuba Quartet have taken up the mantle of George's legacy to organize the Christmas Tubas. Help us make him proud. Please visit our Christmas Tubas page for more info!

All of the pages now have something on them (instead of just being blank) and we've uploaded a few sound bytes so that you can hear what we sound like.  Now that you know a little more about us, we'd like to know a little more about you.  Please feel free to introduce yourself by sending us an email or signing our guest book.  And thanks for visiting!

Thanks for visiting and welcome to our official TTQ website!  You can tell what we've got planned for this site from the many still blank pages.  Please check back periodically to see how it all fills out.  We'd love to hear your suggestions on how this page could be more useful to you.

We've just finished the Christmas season and have enjoyed the many playing opportunities we've had from mid November through early January.  Looking back on 2002, one of the highlights of our year was attending the International Tuba Euphonium Conference (ITEC) that was held in Greensboro, NC (our own backyard).  There the finest tuba and euphonium players from around the world assembled for 5 days of lectures, recitals, concerts, classes, exhibits, and camaraderie.  What a treat!  This was really a once in a lifetime event for us since the last ITEC was in Finland and the next one (2004) will be in Budapest.

Of course, what we enjoyed the most as a group was bringing our special tuba-euphonium blend of music to the many appreciative audiences we had this year.  Thank you all for your kind words, support and enjoyment of our music.  We hope you have a wonderful new year!
